    Haha! You nailed it! That basically just sums up every single Japanese dish ever made. Soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, dashi!

      Woo! But now I feel happy, yet disappointed (rewarded for laziness)… My Japanese cookbook basically uses the same ingredients in every recipe, but every time it’s a totally different dish. Gah! D:
