The same goes for buying biscuits and crisps to add to an already full cupboard, because “our usual supermarket doesn’t do those”…Anyone else who does this?

    Yes, i do buy opportunistic, but only if i’m passing by the Japanese supermarket and the Yiddishe supermarket laying just opposite of each other, in a southern suburb of Amsterdam. I get things like: Soba (buckweat) noodles, Japanese rice cookie snacks with unusual but tasty flavours (which are practically always on discount, because they are very sharp on expiration date) and matzes that far surpass the more commonly available “Hollandia”-brand.
